حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْحُلْوَانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا الْفَيْضُ بْنُ وَثِيقٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبُنَانِيُّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ. عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
يَجِيءُ الْمَقْتُولُ آخِذًا قَاتِلَهُ، وَأَوْدَاجُهُ تَشْخَبُ دَمًا عِنْدَ ذِي الْعِزَّةِ، فَيَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ سَلْ هَذَا فِيمَ قَتَلَنِي ؟ فَيَقُولُ: فِيمَ قَتَلْتَهُ ؟ قَالَ: قَتَلْتُهُ لِتَكُونَ الْعِزَّةُ لِفُلَانٍ. قِيلَ: هِيَ لِلهِ

✧ The slain person will come, holding onto his killer, with his jugular veins gushing blood before the Possessor of Glory, and he will say: "O Lord, ask this one why he killed me?" He will say: "Why did you kill him?" He will say: "I killed him so that the glory might be for so-and-so." It will be said: "It is for God."
