حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْإِصْطَخْرِيُّ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْإِصْطَخْرِيُّ، نَا عِصْمَةُ بْنُ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، نَا زَافِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ - لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ - قَالَ:

صَلَاحُ أَوَّلِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بِالزَّهَادَةِ وَالْيَقِينِ، وَهَلَاكُهَا بِالْبُخْلِ وَالْأَمَلِ.
