✧ Al-'Abbas b. 'Abd al-Muttalib, when he gave wealth as a speculative partnership (mudarabah), stipulated upon his partner: "Do not travel with it by sea, do not descend with it into a valley, and do not buy with it any animal with a moist liver (i.e., livestock). If you do, you are liable." His condition was brought to the Messenger of God ﷺ, and he approved it.
