حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ قِيرَاطٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ نَبِيٌّ قَبْلِي أُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ، وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لِنَبِيٍّ قَبْلِي، وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا، وَكَانَ مَنْ قَبْلَنَا يُصَلُّونَ فِي الْمَحَارِيبِ، وَبُعِثْتُ إِلَى كُلِّ أَسْوَدَ وَأَحْمَرَ، وَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يُبْعَثُ إِلَى قَوْمِهِ خَاصَّةً، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ، يَسْمَعُ بِيَ الْقَوْمُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ مَسِيرَةُ شَهْرٍ فَيُرْعَبُونَ مِنِّي، وَجُعِلَ لِيَ الرُّعْبُ نَصْرًا، وَقِيلَ لِي: سَلْ تُعْطَهْ، فَجَعَلْتُهَا شَفَاعَةً لِأُمَّتِي، وَهِيَ نَائِلَةٌ مَنْ شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا ".

✧ I was given five things that no prophet before me was given: the spoils of war were made lawful for me, and they were not lawful for any prophet before me; the earth was made for me a mosque and a means of purification, whereas those before us used to pray in their sanctuaries; I was sent to every black and red, whereas a man was sent specifically to his own people; I was aided with terror for a month's journey ahead of me—a people between whom and me there is a month's journey would hear of me and be terrified of me, and terror was made a victory for me; and it was said to me: 'Ask, and you will be given.' So I made it an intercession for my community, and it will be obtained by whoever bears witness that there is no god but God, associating nothing with God.
