حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، نَا مُوسَى بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ: قَالَ:

مَا مِنَ الشَّجَرِ شَجَرَةٌ فِي الشَّجَرِ مَثَلُ الرَّجُلِ الْمُسْلِمِ فِي النَّاسِ ؟ " قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ إِلَّا أَنِّي كُنْتُ أَصْغَرَ الْقَوْمِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " هِيَ النَّخْلَةُ

✧ Among the trees there is no tree that is more like the Muslim man among people than it. Ibn Umar said: Nothing prevented me from asking him except that I was the youngest of the people. Then the Prophet ﷺ said: It is the date-palm.
