حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَخْرَمُ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ الْخَزَّازُ، ثَنَا حَسَّانُ بْنُ زَرْبِيٍّ النَّهْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الرَّقَاشِيِّ قَالَ:
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ، فَقَالَتْ: مَا بَالُ أَبِي حَسَنٍ يَقْتُلُ أَصْحَابَهُ الْقُرَّاءَ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا فِي الْقَتْلَى ذَا الثُّدَيَّةِ، فَشَهِقَتْ - أَوْ تَنَفَّسَتْ -، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: إِنَّ كَاتِمَ الشَّهَادَةِ مِثْلُ شَاهِدٍ بِزُورٍ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: يَقْتُلُ هَذِهِ الْعِصَابَةَ خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي
Translation

✧ I entered upon Aishah, and she said: 'What is the matter with Abu al-Hasan that he kills his companions, the Qur'an reciters?' I said: 'O Mother of the Believers, we found among the slain one with a breast like a woman's.' She gasped - or took a deep breath - and then said: 'One who conceals testimony is like one who gives false witness. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The best of my community will kill this group."'
