✧ The Prophet ﷺ came to one of the gatherings of the Anṣār, where a group of them were present. He greeted them with salām, and they returned the greeting. The Prophet ﷺ disliked that gathering for them. They said: “O Messenger of Allah, this is a gathering where our fathers used to sit in the Jāhiliyyah. We wanted to maintain it and sit in it.” He said: “If you insist on doing so, then return the greeting, lower your gaze, and guide the way.”
