حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ الْعُكَّاشِيُّ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ:

قَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ، وَجَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ، وَجَمَاعَةٌ مِنْ جُهَيْنَةَ، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّا خَرَجْنَا إِلَى مَكَّةَ مُشَاةً، وَقَوْمٌ يَخْرُجُونَ رُكْبَانًا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: لِلِّمَاشِي أَجْرُ سَبْعِينَ حَجَّةً، وَلِلرَّاكِبِ أَجْرُ ثَلَاثِينَ حَجَّةً.

✧ A group from Muzaynah, a group from Hudhayl, and a group from Juhaynah came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of Allah, we set out for Makkah on foot, while other people set out riding.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “The one who walks has the reward of seventy Ḥajjs, and the rider has the reward of thirty Ḥajjs.”
