✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away between my chest and my throat, while I had leaned him against my chest. ʿAbd al-Rahman b. Abi Bakr came with a tooth-stick, and the Prophet ﷺ called him, took the tooth-stick from him, and began trying to use it but could not. I took the tooth-stick from him, softened it, and gave it back to him, and he began to clean his teeth with it. Then his hand grew heavy, and I began to hear him say: "In the highest company." And he passed away while I was unaware.
