حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ قَالَ: نَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ فِي بَعْضِ غَزَوَاتِهِ، فَقَالَ: مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ تُقَاتِلُ، ثُمَّ نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ passed by a woman who had been killed in one of his battles and said: 'This one was not fighting.' He then forbade killing women and children.
