وَعَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ.
أَنَّ كَعْبَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، حِينَ أَنْزَلَ اللهُ فِي الشِّعْرِ مَا أَنْزَلَ، أَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ اللهَ قَدْ أَنْزَلَ فِي الشِّعْرِ مَا قَدْ عَلِمْتَ، فَكَيْفَ تَرَى ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: إِنَّ الْمُؤْمِنَ لَيُجَاهِدُ بِسَيْفِهِ وَلِسَانِهِ
Translation

✧ When God revealed concerning poetry what He revealed, Ka'b b. Malik came to the Messenger of God and said: "O Messenger of God, God has revealed concerning poetry what you know. What do you think?" The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "The believer indeed strives with his sword and his tongue."
