حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ عَبْدِ السَّلَامِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْقُدُّوسِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:

قُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَا نَأْمُرُ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ حَتَّى نَعْمَلَ بِهِ، وَلَا نَنْهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ حَتَّى نَجْتَنِبَهُ كُلَّهُ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: بَلْ مُرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَعْمَلُوا بِهِ كُلِّهِ، وَانْهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، وَإِنْ لَمْ تَجْتَنِبُوهُ كُلَّهُ ".

✧ We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, should we not enjoin good until we act upon all of it, and not forbid evil until we avoid all of it?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Rather, enjoin good even if you do not act upon all of it, and forbid evil even if you do not avoid all of it.'
