حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ غُرَابٍ، ثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:
يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا الشَّيْءُ الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ ؟ قَالَ: " الْمَاءُ وَالْمِلْحُ وَالنَّارُ " قَالَتْ: هَذَا الْمَاءُ قَدْ عَرَفْنَاهُ، فَمَا بَالُ الْمِلْحِ وَالنَّارِ ؟ فَقَالَ: " مَنْ أَعْطَى مِلْحًا فَكَأَنَّمَا تَصَدَّقَ بِجَمِيعِ مَا طَيَّبَ ذَلِكَ الْمِلْحُ، وَمَنْ أَعْطَى نَارًا فَكَأَنَّمَا تَصَدَّقَ بِجَمِيعِ مَا أَنْضَجَتْ تِلْكَ النَّارُ، وَمَنْ سَقَى مُسْلِمًا شَرْبَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ حَيْثُ يُوجَدُ الْمَاءُ فَكَأَنَّمَا أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً، وَمَنْ سَقَى مُسْلِمًا شَرْبَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ حَيْثُ لَا يُوجَدُ الْمَاءُ فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَاهُ

✧ "O Messenger of God, what is the thing that it is not lawful to withhold?" He said: "Water, salt, and fire." She said: "Water we know, but what about salt and fire?" He said: "Whoever gives salt is as if he gave charity with all that the salt seasons. Whoever gives fire is as if he gave charity with all that the fire cooks. Whoever gives a Muslim a drink of water where water is found is as if he freed a slave. Whoever gives a Muslim a drink of water where water is not found is as if he revived him."
