حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُزَيْقٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، ثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ:
رَآنِي أَبُو بَشِيرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ صَاحِبُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي صَلَاةَ الضُّحَى حِينَ طَلَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ، فَعَابَ عَلَيَّ ذَلِكَ وَنَهَانِي، ثُمَّ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: لَا تُصَلُّوا حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ الشَّمْسُ، فَإِنَّهَا تَطْلُعُ فِي قَرْنِ شَيْطَانِ

✧ Abu Bashir al-Ansari, the companion of the Prophet ﷺ, saw me praying the Duha prayer when the sun had risen, and he criticized me for that and forbade me. Then he said: The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Do not pray until the sun has risen high, for it rises between the two horns of a devil.
