حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِرْسٍ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ الْمَدِينِيُّ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، ثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ، نَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:

صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرَ، فَكُلُّهُمْ كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَإِذَا كَبَّرَ لِلرُّكُوعِ، وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ يُكَبِّرُ لِلسُّجُودِ

✧ I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Abu Bakr, and 'Umar, and all of them used to raise their hands when they began the prayer, when they said the takbir for ruku', and when they raised their heads, they said the takbir for sujud.
