✧ We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ, as if birds were on our heads, none of us speaking, when some people came and said: “O Messenger of God, give us a ruling about such-and-such, give us a ruling about such-and-such.” He said: “O people, God has removed hardship, except for one who borrows from his brother’s honor a loan; that is the one who is in hardship and perishes.” They said: “Should we seek medical treatment, O Messenger of God?” He said: “Yes. God has not sent down any disease but He has sent down for it a cure, except one disease.” They said: “What is it, O Messenger of God?” He said: “Old age.” They said: “Who is the most beloved of God’s servants to God?” He said: “The best of them in character.”
