✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was granted permission to pray, and he said: 'Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer.' Then he fainted, and when he recovered, he said: 'Did you tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer?' We said: 'Abu Bakr is a tender-hearted man; if he leads the people in prayer, he will not make them hear. If only you would order 'Umar to lead the people in prayer.' He said: 'Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer, for you are like the women of Yusuf. There may be one who says and one who wishes, but Allah and the believers refuse.'
