حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُلَيْحَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ. عَنِ الْهِرْمَاسِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ:

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ، فَقَالَ: إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْخِيَانَةَ، فَإِنَّهَا بِئْسَتِ الْبِطَانَةُ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالظُّلْمَ، فَإِنَّهُ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالشُّحُّ، فَإِنَّمَا أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمُ الشُّحُّ، حَتَّى سَفَكُوا دِمَاءَهُمْ، وَقَطَعُوا أَرْحَامَهُمْ

✧ I saw the Prophet ﷺ delivering a sermon on his she-camel. He said: Beware of treachery, for it is an evil inner garment. Beware of injustice, for it will be darknesses on the Day of Resurrection. Beware of stinginess, for it destroyed those before you until they shed their blood and severed their ties of kinship.
