حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، نَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ، نَا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَوْذَبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ كَثِيرٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ:

جَاءَ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ حِينَ جَهَّزَ جَيْشَ الْعُسْرَةِ بِأَلْفِ دِينَارٍ، فَنَثَرَهَا فِي حِجْرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ. قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُقَلِّبُهَا بِيَدِهِ، وَيَقُولُ: لَا يَضُرُّ ابْنَ عَفَّانَ مَا عَمِلَ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ

✧ Uthman b. Affan came when he equipped the army of hardship with a thousand dinars, and he poured them into the lap of the Prophet ﷺ. Abd al-Rahman said: I saw the Prophet ﷺ turning them over with his hand and saying: 'Nothing will harm Ibn Affan after what he has done today.'
