✧ Islam is built upon the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, the establishment of prayer, the giving of zakah, the pilgrimage to the House, and the fast of Ramadan. It was said to him: 'The fast of Ramadan and the pilgrimage to the House?' He said: 'No, not except thus he said.'

machine translationYazīd al-Taymī al-Aʿraj narrates it from Mujāhid, from Ibn ʿUmar as his own statement (mawqūf). Likewise Abū al-Jawzāʾ Aws b. ʿAbdullāh and Wabarah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated it from Ibn ʿUmar as mawqūf. Its being raised to the Prophet (marfūʿ) is sound (ṣaḥīḥ).
