✧ He used to supplicate with these words: 'O Allah, You are the First, so there is nothing before You, and You are the Last, so there is nothing after You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of every creature whose forelock is in Your hand. I seek refuge in You from sin and laziness, from the punishment of the grave, from the trial of wealth and the trial of poverty. I seek refuge in You from wrongdoing and debt. O Allah, purify my heart from sins as You purified the white garment from filth. O Allah, distance between me and my sins as You distanced between the east and the west.' This is what Muhammad asked his Lord: 'O Allah, I ask You for the best of asking, the best of supplication, the best of success, the best of deeds, the best of reward, the best of life, and the best of death. Make me firm, weigh down my scales, raise my degree, accept my prayer, forgive my sin, and I ask You for the highest degrees of Paradise. Amin. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise. Amin. O Allah, I ask You for the best of what is done and the best of what is worked, the best of what is hidden and the best of what is apparent, and the highest degrees of Paradise. Amin. O Allah, I ask You to raise my mention, remove my burden, set right my affair, purify my heart, guard my private parts, illuminate my heart, forgive my sin, and I ask You for the highest degrees of Paradise. Amin. O Allah, save me from the Fire.'
