✧ We were sitting with Abu Bakr al-Siddiq when a funeral procession passed by. He stood up, so we stood up. Then we prayed, and he removed his sandals. We said, “O successor of the Messenger of Allah, you removed your sandals while the people are putting on their sandals.” He said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever walks barefoot in obedience to Allah, Allah the Mighty and Majestic will not ask him on the Day of Resurrection about what He has obligated upon him.”
