حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزْدَادَ التَّوَّزِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عِمْرَانَ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الْأَرْقَمِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ: رُدُّوا مَا كَانَ مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْأَنْفَالِ فَرَفَعَ أَبُو أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ بِسَيْفِ بَنِي الْعَائِذِ بْنِ الْمَرْزُبَانِ، فَعَرَفَهُ الْأَرْقَمُ، فَقَالَ: هَبْهُ لِي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ

Translation

✧ On the day of Badr: Return what you have with you of the spoils. Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi raised the sword of Banu al-'A'idh b. al-Marzuban, and al-Arqam recognized it, so he said: Grant it to me, O Messenger of Allah, and he gave it to him.
