حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ النَّاقِطُ، قَالَ: نَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ: نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، قَالَ: نَا عِيسَى بْنُ عَوْنٍ، قَالَ: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَا أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَلَى عَبْدٍ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ فِي أَهْلٍ أَوْ مَالٍ أَوْ وَلَدٍ، فَيَقُولُ: مَا شَاءَ اللهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ، فَيَرَى فِيهَا آفَةً دُونَ الْمَوْتِ، فَكَانَ يَتَأَوَّلُ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: وَلَوْلا إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ لا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِاللهِ

✧ Allah does not bestow a blessing upon a servant in family, wealth, or children such that he says, 'What Allah wills, there is no power except with Allah,' and then sees in it an affliction short of death. He used to interpret this verse: 'And why did you not, when you entered your garden, say: What Allah wills, there is no power except with Allah' (al-Kahf 18:39).
