حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ أَبُو حَصِينٍ، قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْعَلَوِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْ خُلَفَاءَنَا، قُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَمَا خُلَفَاؤُكُمْ ؟ قَالَ: الَّذِينَ يَأْتُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِي، يَرْوُونَ أَحَادِيثِي وَسُنَّتِي، وَيُعَلِّمُونَهَا النَّاسَ.

✧ O Allah, have mercy on our successors. We said: O Messenger of Allah, who are your successors? He said: Those who come after me, narrating my hadiths and my sunnah, and teaching them to the people.
