✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in a leather tent of his. I greeted him, then said: 'May I enter?' He said: 'Enter.' So I put my head in, and there was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performing ablution thoroughly. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, may I enter completely?' He said: 'All of you.' When I entered, he said to me: 'Count six signs before the Hour: the death of your Prophet.' Awf said: I was struck by that with a grief like none before. He said: 'Say: One.' I said: 'One.' He said: 'And the conquest of Jerusalem, and a tribulation that will occur among you, reaching the homes of the Arabs, and a disease that will afflict you like the qu'as of sheep, and wealth will become widespread among you, until a man is given a hundred dinars and remains discontented, and a truce between you and the Banu al-Asfar, but they will betray you and come against you under eighty banners, under each banner twelve thousand.'
