حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ التُّبَّعِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ الْعُرَنِيُّ، قَالَ: ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ حُمْرَانَ، أَوْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ:

دَعَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ بِوَضُوءٍ، فَتَوَضَّأَ لِلصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ، وَصَلَّى فَأَحْسَنَ الصَّلَاةَ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ

✧ Uthman b. Affan called for water for ablution and performed ablution for prayer. Then he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Whoever performs ablution and does it well, and prays and does it well, his past sins will be forgiven.
