حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي، بِخَطِّهِ: حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ أَبُو الْعَنْبَسِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
مَنْ يَسْمَعُ مِنِّي ؟، فَنَشَرْتُ ثَوْبِي، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ ضَمَمْتُهُ إِلَيَّ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا نَسِيتُ مِنْهُ حَدِيثًا

✧ “Who will listen from me?” I spread my garment, and when he finished I gathered it to myself. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, I have not forgotten a single hadith from it.
