✧ He used to pray facing a pillar in the mosque and deliver sermons leaning against it. A’ishah ordered that this pulpit be made for him. When he ascended it and left his place by the pillar, the pillar let out a loud moan when the Prophet ﷺ left his place, out of longing for Allah’s Prophet ﷺ. The Prophet of Allah ﷺ walked to it and embraced it. When he embraced it, the sound we heard subsided. I said: “Did you hear it?” He said: “I and the people of the mosque heard it, and it is one of the pillars next to the room.”
