حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُذُوعِيُّ قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَرْعَرَةَ قَالَ: نَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ الْحَرَشِيُّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ:

ثَلَاثٌ مُهْلِكَاتٌ: شُحٌّ مُطَاعٌ، وَهَوًى مُتَّبَعٌ، وَإِعْجَابُ الْمَرْءِ بِنَفْسِهِ مِنَ الْخُيَلَاءِ، وَثَلَاثٌ مُنْجِيَاتٌ: الْعَدْلُ فِي الرِّضَا وَالْغَضَبِ، وَالْقَصْدُ فِي الْغِنَى وَالْفَاقَةِ، وَمَخَافَةُ اللهِ فِي السِّرِّ وَالْعَلَانِيَةِ

✧ Three things are destructive: greed that is obeyed, desire that is followed, and a man's conceit about himself out of pride. And three things are saving: justice in contentment and anger, moderation in wealth and poverty, and fear of Allah in secret and in public.
