حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ قَالَ: نَا وَهْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زِمَامٍ الْعَلَّافُ قَالَ: نَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ: نَا حَفْصُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمِنْقَرِيُّ، أَنَّ عَطَاءَ بْنَ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِسَخْلَةٍ أَتَى عَلَيْهَا: أَتَرَوْنَ هَذِهِ هَانَتْ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا حِينَ أَلْقَوْهَا ؟ قَالُوا: نَعَمْ، وَاللهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ. قَالَ: الدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا حِينَ أَلْقَوْهَا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said about a dead lamb he came upon: Do you see this—how worthless it became to its owners when they threw it away? They said: Yes, by God, O Messenger of God. He said: The world is more worthless to God than this is to its owners when they threw it away.
