حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ: نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ الْحَدَثِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْبَلَوِيُّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْبَدَّاحِ بْنِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ:

اشْتَرَيْتُ أَنَا وَأَخِي مِائَةَ سَهْمٍ مِنْ سِهَامِ خَيْبَرَ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: مَا ذِئْبَانِ عَادِيَانِ ظَلَّا فِي غَنَمٍ أَضَاعَهَا رَبُّهَا بِأَفْسَدَ لَهَا مِنْ طَلَبِ الْمُسْلِمِ الْمَالَ وَالشَّرَفَ لِدِينِهِ

✧ My brother and I bought one hundred shares of the shares of Khaybar. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: Two hungry wolves left among a flock whose owner has neglected it are not more destructive to it than a Muslim's seeking wealth and honor for the sake of his religion.
