✧ My uncle Uthman b. Maz'un sent me to bring him a blanket. I came to the Prophet ﷺ and sought his permission while he was at the trench, and he permitted me. He said: 'Whoever you meet from among them, tell them that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commands them to return.' That was during a severe cold. I went out and met the people, and I said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commands you to return.' By Allah, not even two or one of them turned back to me.
