حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ: نَا الْمُعَافَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ: نَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ يُكْنَى أَبَا عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيَسْتَحْيِي مِنْ ذِي الشَّيْبَةِ الْمُسْلِمِ إِذَا كَانَ مُسَدَّدًا لَزُومًا لِلسُّنَّةِ، أَنْ يَسْأَلَ اللهَ فَلَا يُعْطِهُ

✧ Indeed Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is too shy before a Muslim with gray hair, if he is upright and firmly adhering to the Sunnah, to refuse him when he asks Allah—that He would not grant him.
