حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقَطِيُّ قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْأَوْدِيِّ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُبَيْلٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ قَالَ:

لَمَّا بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ، فَلَمَّا تَوَجَّهْتُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ، أَرْسَلَ فِي إِثْرِي، فَقَالَ: هَلْ تَدْرِي لِمَ أَرْسَلْتُ إِلَيْكَ ؟ أَرْسَلْتُ مِنْ أَجْلِ الْإِصَابَةِ، لَا تُصِيبَنَّ شَيْئًا إِلَّا شَيْئًا أُذِنَ لَكَ فِيهِ، فَإِنَّهُ غُلُولٌ، وَمَنْ يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ sent me to Yemen—and when I set off from him, he sent after me and said: 'Do you know why I sent for you? I sent because of the acquisition. You must not acquire anything except what you have been permitted, for that is stealing from the spoils, and whoever steals from the spoils will come with what he stole on the Day of Resurrection.'
