✧ When Ja'far b. Abi Talib came from Abyssinia, the Messenger of God ﷺ said to him: 'What was the most wondrous thing you saw there?' He said: 'I saw a woman carrying a basket of food on her head. A horseman passed by at a gallop and knocked it off, so she sat down gathering it up. Then she turned to him and said: Woe to you on the day when the King sets up His throne and takes for the wronged from the wrongdoer.' The Messenger of God ﷺ said, confirming her words: 'A people is not sanctified'—or 'how can a people be sanctified—when its weak cannot take his right from its strong without being shaken?'
