حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ: نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَرَّاقُ قَالَ: نَا حَلَّامُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ الْعَبْسِيُّ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ:

أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي ابْتَعْتُ عَبْدًا، فَمَا أَصْنَعُ بِهِ ؟ قَالَ: أَخُوكَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ، فَأَطْعِمْهُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُ، وَأَلْبِسْهُ مِمَّا تَلْبَسُ، فَإِذَا كَرِهْتَهُ فَبِعْهُ

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I bought a slave, so what should I do with him?' He said: 'He is your brother in Islam. Feed him from what you eat and clothe him from what you wear. If you dislike him, then sell him.'
