✧ I saw my master al-Sāʾib: his beard was white and his head was black. I said: O my master, why does your head not turn white? He said: My head will never turn white. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by while I was a boy playing with other boys. He greeted the boys while I was among them, and I returned his greeting among the boys. He called me and said: What is your name? I said: Al-Sāʾib b. Yazīd, son of the sister of Namir. He placed his hand on my head and said: May Allah bless you. So the place where the hand of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ touched will never turn white.
