حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الصَّابُونِيُّ قَالَ: نَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ: نَا الْيَمَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، صَاحِبُ الرَّقِيقِ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ:
رَأَيْتُ فِيمَا يَرَى النَّائِمُ كَأَنِّي تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ، وَكَأَنَّ الشَّجَرَةَ تَقْرَأُ: ص فَلَمَّا أَتَتْ عَلَى السَّجْدَةِ سَجَدَتْ، فَقَالَتْ فِي سُجُودِهَا: اللَّهُمَّ اكْتُبْ لِي بِهَا أَجْرًا، وَحُطَّ عَنِّي بِهَا وِزْرًا، وَأَحْدِثْ لِي بِهَا شُكْرًا، وَتَقَبَّلْهَا مِنِّي كَمَا تَقَبَّلْتَ مِنْ عَبْدِكَ دَاوُدَ سَجْدَتَهُ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْتُ غَدَوْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: سَجَدْتَ أَنْتَ يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ ؟ " فَقُلْتُ: لَا، قَالَ: " أَنْتَ كُنْتَ أَحَقَّ بِالسُّجُودِ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ "، فَقَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سُورَةَ ص حَتَّى أَتَى عَلَى السَّجْدَةِ، فَقَالَ فِي سُجُودِهِ مَا قَالَتِ الشَّجَرَةُ فِي سُجُودِهَا

✧ I saw in what a sleeper sees: as if I was under a tree, and as if the tree was reciting Surah Sad. When it reached the verse of prostration, it prostrated, and said in its prostration: “O Allah, write for me a reward by it, remove from me a burden by it, create for me gratitude by it, and accept it from me as You accepted from Your servant Dawud his prostration.” When morning came, I went to the Prophet ﷺ and told him about that. He said: “Did you prostrate, O Abu Saʿid?” I said: “No.” He said: “You were more deserving of the prostration than the tree.” Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited Surah Sad until he reached the verse of prostration, and said in his prostration what the tree said in its prostration.
