✧ They came to Anas b. Malik on a Monday, and he called for lunch for them. Some of the people stepped forward while others held back. He said: “Perhaps you are Monday-people or Thursday-people?”—he said it three times—“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast until it was said that he would never break his fast, and he used to break his fast until it was said that he would never fast the whole year, and the fast most beloved to him was in Shaʿban.”
