حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زَيْدَانَ الْبَجَلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرُّؤَاسِيُّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيُّ، عَنْ أُمِّ كَبْشَةَ، امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي عُذْرَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، ائْذَنْ لِي أَنْ أَخْرُجَ مَعَ جَيْشِ كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَ: " لَا " قَالَتْ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، إِنِّي لَا أُرِيدُ الْقِتَالَ، إِنَّمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُدَاوِيَ الْجَرِيحَ وَالْمَرِيضَ قَالَ: لَوْلَا أَنْ تَكُونَ سُنَّةً، يُقَالُ: خَرَجَتْ فُلَانَةُ، لَأَذِنْتُ لَكِ

He said: 'Were it not that it would become a sunnah, and it would be said: So-and-so went out, I would have permitted you.'
