✧ Ubayy b. Kaʿb taught me the Qurʾān, so I gave him a bow as a gift. He went to the Prophet ﷺ wearing it, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'You are wearing a bow from Hell.' I said: 'O Messenger of God, we sometimes attend their food and eat from it.' He said: 'As for what is prepared for you, if you eat it, you eat it with your own share of sin. As for what is prepared for someone else that you attend and eat from, there is no harm in it.'
