حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُزَيْزٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا غَسَّانُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَقُولُ:

إِذَا هَمَّ عَبْدِي بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا، فَلَا تَكْتُبُوهَا، وَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا فَاكْتُبُوهَا وَاحِدَةً، وَإِنْ تَرَكَهَا مِنْ أَجْلِي فَاكْتُبُوهَا حَسَنَةً، وَإِذَا هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا، فَاكْتُبُوهَا حَسَنَةً، وَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا فَاكْتُبُوهَا بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا إِلَى سَبْعِمِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ

✧ When My servant intends an evil deed but does not do it, do not record it; if he does it, record it as one. If he leaves it for My sake, record it as a good deed. When he intends a good deed but does not do it, record it as a good deed; if he does it, record it as ten times its like up to seven hundred-fold.
