✧ Allah raised two servants from among His servants and increased them in wealth and children. He said to one of them: “O so-and-so, son of so-and-so.” He said: “Here I am, my Lord, at Your service.” He said: “Did I not increase you in wealth and children?” He said: “Yes, my Lord.” He said: “What did you do with what I gave you?” He said: “I left it for my children, fearing poverty for them.” He said: “Indeed, if you knew true knowledge, you would laugh little and weep much. Indeed, what you feared for them, I have brought upon them.” And He says to the other: “O so-and-so, son of so-and-so.” He says: “Here I am, my Lord, at Your service.” He said to him: “Did I not increase you in wealth and children?” He said: “Yes, my Lord.” He said: “What did you do with what I gave you?” He said: “I spent it in obedience to You, and I entrusted my children after me to Your abundant bounty.” He said: “Indeed, if you knew true knowledge, you would laugh much and weep little. Indeed, what you entrusted for them, I have brought upon them.”
