حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَابْلُتِّيُّ، قَالَ نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ جُرَيْجٍ الرَّهَاوِيُّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

الْمَعِدَةُ حَوْضُ الْبَدَنِ، وَالْعُرُوقُ إِلَيْهَا وَارِدَةٌ، فَإِذَا صَحَّتِ الْمَعِدَةُ صَدَرَتِ الْعُرُوقُ بِالصِّحَّةِ، وَإِذَا فَسَدَتِ الْمَعِدَةُ صَدَرَتِ الْعُرُوقُ بِالسَّقَمِ ".

✧ The stomach is the reservoir of the body, and the veins flow into it. When the stomach is sound, the veins depart with soundness; when the stomach is corrupt, the veins depart with sickness.
