حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ: نَا ثُمَامَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:
لَمْ يَخْلَعِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ نَعْلَيْهِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ إِلَّا مَرَّةً، فَخَلَعَ الْقَوْمُ نِعَالَهُمْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: " لِمَ خَلَعْتُمْ نِعَالَكُمْ ؟ " قَالُوا: رَأَيْنَاكَ خَلَعْتَ، فَخَلَعْنَا، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ did not take off his shoes in prayer except once, and the people then took off their shoes. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Why did you take off your shoes?' They said: 'We saw you take yours off, so we took ours off.' He said: 'Indeed Jibril ﷺ.'
