حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ عَبَّاسُ بْنُ حَمَّادِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ الرِّيَاشِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ الْيَمَامِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عِيسَى بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَا أَنْعَمَ اللهُ عَلَى عَبْدٍ نِعْمَةً فِي أَهْلٍ أَوْ مَالٍ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ، فَقَالَ: مَا شَاءَ اللهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ، فَيَرَى فِيهِ آفَةً، دُونَ الْمَوْتِ "، وَقَرَأَ: وَلَوْلا إِذْ دَخَلْتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلْتَ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ لا قُوَّةَ إِلا بِاللهِ

✧ Allah does not bestow a blessing upon a servant in family, wealth, or children, and he says: 'What Allah wills; there is no power except with Allah,' such that he would see in it a defect, short of death.' He then recited: 'If only, when you entered your garden, you had said: What Allah wills; there is no power except with Allah' (Quran 18:39).
