al-Mu'jam al-Awsat 422

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خُلَيْدٍ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زُرَارَةَ الرَّقِّيُّ قَالَ: نَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ. عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ:

بَارَزَ عَقِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَجُلًا يَوْمَ مُؤْتَةَ فَقَتَلَهُ، " فَنَفَّلَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَاتَمَهُ وَسَلَبَهُ

✧ Aqil b. Abi Talib dueled a man on the day of Mu’tah and killed him. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave him his ring and his spoils as a reward.
