حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نُبَاتَةَ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْمُقْرِئُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ لِأَبِي الْهَيَّاجِ:

أَبْعَثُكَ عَلَى مَا بَعَثَنِي عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا تَدَعَنَّ قَبْرًا مُشْرِفًا إِلَّا سَوَّيْتَهُ، وَلَا تِمْثَالًا إِلَّا طَمَسْتَهُ
