حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ قَالَ: نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَ: نَا الصَّبَّاحُ بْنُ مُحَارِبٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ الْأَنْعُمِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ هَرِمٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قَالَ: اغْزُوا بِسْمِ اللهِ، وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، فَقَاتِلُوا مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللهِ، لَا تَغُلُّوا، وَلَا تَغْدِرُوا، وَلَا تُمَثِّلُوا، وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيدًا وَلَا امْرَأَةً وَلَا شَيْخًا

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ dispatched a military expedition, he would say: “Raid in the name of God and in the path of God, and fight those who disbelieve in God. Do not steal from the spoils, do not act treacherously, do not mutilate, and do not kill a child, a woman, or an old man.”
